Corvus Corax - Imperial Pastry Stout - Collab with First (incl. VAT & deposit)

Corvus Corax is the common raven, one of the cleverest birds in the world. The beer is our darkest, heaviest and most intense, brewed with FIRST Craft Beer from Budapest. It was our first project together.

The Style

An Imperial Stout has plenty of malt, plenty of alcohol and a deep, dark roast with chocolate, coffee and dried fruit. Pastry Stouts recall pastry and dessert and are sweeter and rounder than a classic Imperial Stout.

In the Glass

Pitch black, little head. Dark chocolate, espresso, a hint of vanilla. Full and warm, with roasted depth and a sweetish, biscuit-like note. Heavy, but not sticky. A long, warm finish.

Serving

At 10 to 14 °C in a snifter or cognac glass, this beer needs warmth. As a digestif or with dark chocolate.
