Regenbogenlori - Oat Cream IPA

The Regenbogenlori (rainbow lorikeet) is an Australian parrot that loves mangoes. This beer was our very first collaboration, brewed with our friends from Schwarze Rose in Mainz. After it sold out, people kept asking when it would come back. Now it is back, with a new hop combination.

The Style

An Oatcream IPA is a creamy take on the Hazy IPA. Plenty of oats and lactose, which is milk sugar, make the body dense and soft, and a lot of dry hopping brings fruit instead of bitterness. For Lori 2.0 we swapped one of the three hops. Galaxy brings passion fruit and peach, Citra brings citrus and mango, Cryo Pop adds a concentrated tropical fruit.

In the Glass

Dense haze, rich orange yellow. Ripe mango, passion fruit, peach and mandarin, with a sweet berry note underneath. Very creamy, the fruit stays through the finish and the bitterness steps back.

Serving

At 6 to 8 °C in a rounded glass, and ideally fresh. With Thai curry.
